UCI Celebrates 60th Anniversary as a Federal Depository Library

Since its founding, UCI Libraries have been a member of the Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP), helping ensure access to United States government public records.

Through FDLP libraries, the US Government Publishing Office (GPO) provides free public access to US federal documents and resources. Serving as a FDLP member entails maintaining a physical collection of materials as well as, increasingly, helping library patrons navigate the vast collection of US government materials available online.

Library Information Literacy Training and Support Benefits Entrepreneurship Team Performance

A recent study published in the Journal of Business & Finance Librarianship helps measure the impact of librarians’ efforts to support campus entrepreneurs. As part of a multiyear partnership with UCI’s Beall Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, UCI Libraries supplied information literacy training and research support for the New Venture Competition, an annual campus-wide entrepreneurship competition.

Celebrating Black History Month

In honor of Black History Month, UCI Libraries have gathered a list of resources and materials that highlight the history, heritage, art, and scholarship of Black Americans. From books, films, and music to research and news archives, we hope these materials will spark discussions about race and representation around campus and within our community.

Unless otherwise noted, these materials are open to the public and available at no cost throughout the year as part of UCI Libraries’ ongoing effort to share resources that highlight Black history and culture.
