A Global Vision: Korea Foundation Intern Bridges Cultures Through Library Work

 

When Siyoung Choi first visited academic libraries in the United States as a tourist several years ago, she wanted to learn more about their operations. As a 2024 Korea Foundation intern at the UC Irvine Libraries, she gained a deeper understanding of how a major American university library operates and contributed her expertise along the way.

UC Irvine Libraries are excited to celebrate Disability Pride Month by calling attention to resources that document, mark, and elevate the voices and contributions of people with disabilities. This guide highlights select resources available through UC Irvine Libraries that focus on disability justice, lived experiences, and the creative and intellectual work of the community.*

2025 Southeast Asian Archive Anne Frank Visiting Researcher Awardees Announced

 

Established in 2017 to commemorate the UC Irvine Libraries Southeast Asian Archive’s 30th anniversary, the Southeast Asian Archive (SEAA) Anne Frank Visiting Researcher Award is given annually to a researcher who lives outside of Orange County and is not currently affiliated with UC Irvine. Named in honor of Anne Frank, the archive’s founding librarian who retired in 2007, the $1,000 award is intended to defray the cost of traveling to Irvine, California to conduct hands-on research within the archive.
