Insight Into Diversity magazine’s LEAD Award recognizes UCI Libraries for making a difference for underrepresented groups.

Earlier this fall, UCI Drama Library, a webpage that allows people to browse the UCI Libraries’ play collection using special filters like playwright ethnicity and cast gender, exceeded 20,000 page views and is on track to reach 25,000 views by late winter or early spring 2024.

During the Winter 2023 quarter, more than 750 first-year UCI students visited the UCI Libraries Anteater Spirit exhibit. Student reflections show that the experience helped reinforce the Humanities Core course theme and lectures, demonstrate the use of primary source materials, and build a sense of community.
