UCI Libraries will host a series of events from Monday, October 23 to Thursday, October 26 in celebration of the 2017 International Open Access (OA) Week.

Heather Joseph, Executive Director of the Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition (SPARC), will deliver a keynote lecture on Monday, October 23 on this year’s theme, "Open in order to …”.

Open Access is the free, immediate, online availability of research articles combined with the rights to use these articles fully in the digital environment. UCI Libraries’ Scholarly Communication Program provides a variety of services to support researchers in open access activities. Explore the event schedule at https://www.lib.uci.edu/oaweek.
