About the Author: Walter Stahr is the author of biographies of John Jay, William Henry Seward, and Edwin Stanton. A former lawyer, he lives with his wife in Newport Beach, California. He is also the son of John and Elizabeth Stahr, longtime supporters of UCI and recipients of the UCI Medal.
