Know Before You Go: UC Irvine Libraries Summer Hours
During the summer term, the hours for UC Irvine Libraries’ buildings and study spaces vary, so visitors are encouraged to consult lib.uci.edu/hours before coming to campus.
To see how busy we are, check out our real-time space tracker.
Space Reservations
Current UC Irvine students, staff, and faculty are welcome to reserve study spaces online:
- Visit the Study Space Locator to reserve study rooms, individual study pods, and other Libraries’ spaces.
- The Libraries’ One Button Studio, a suite that has a simplified video recording system, plus our podcasting and presentation studios are located within the Multimedia Resources Center (MRC) and are available by appointment only this summer. See the MRC reservation page for more details.
Updated Summer Hours
The Gateway Study Center and Multimedia Resources Center (MRC) will be temporarily closed in summer 2026, and the Orange County & Southeast Asian Archive (OC&SEAA) Center will be available by appointment only.
The Special Collections and Archives Verle and Elizabeth Annis Reading Room will also have limited hours, so users are advised to submit research requests as far out as possible.
Visit lib.uci.edu/hours for all building summer hours.
